The walk up the Tor is steep but short, and the view from the top across the Somerset Levels makes it worthwhile. Combine it with the Chalice Well Gardens at the bottom of the hill and the Abbey ruins in town for a fuller morning out.

Cathedral History WellsA dramatic limestone gorge with proper caves to explore at Gough's Cave and Cox's Cave. The climb up Jacob's Ladder is rewarded with sweeping views across the Levels, a good choice if you want something more active than sightseeing.
